Limited Access to Cabins 8, 13, 14 and 15: As the result of severe beach erosion on Hunting Island State Park, vehicle access to cabins 8, 13, 14 and 15 has been lost. Entry to this area will now be available by park-provided golf cart only. Hunting Island will supply these cabin guests with one, 4-passenger golf cart for use during the term of stay. Guests and potential visitors to these cabins should consider factors such as limited emergency services, weather effects on cart usage and distance from personal vehicle(s). DescriptionHunting Island State park is a 5000 acre semi-tropical barrier island offering one of the longest public beaches in the lowcountry of South Carolina. Its 4 miles of beach, prisitine maritime forest, historic 1873 lighthouse, camping and cabin facilties makes this park one of South Carolina's largest and most visited properties.Alerts and Important InformationDue to the current beach erosion and recent abnormally high tides, cabins 12 at Hunting Island State Park have become uninhabitable. Unfortunately, your current reservation(s) for this cabin will need to be cancelled. You will be issued a full refund, including transaction fees, as soon as possible.
