Firewood Alert: Because of the seriousness of a potential infestation from the Emerald Ash Borer, we are requesting that no firewood be brought into South Carolina State Parks from outside of the state. The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a destructive invasive exotic beetle that feeds on ash trees. Park campgrounds and picnic areas are the most likely areas for EAB introduction into South Carolina. DescriptionPicnic facilities, a Community Building and a 200-acre lake are prominent features of the site. The 440-acre state park has a floodplain forest, in addition to other large tracts of wetlands and woodlands that are home to a variety of plants and animals. Two boat ramps provide private boat access to Lake George Warren.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important Information Picnic shelters are available for use at 9AM, and the Community Building is available for check in at 10AM. (Latitude, Longitude):32.82806, -81.1525 32°49'41"N, 81°9'9"W Lake Warren State Park is located five miles west of Hampton between SC 363, and US 601 on secondary road 501 (Lake Warren Road). Travel on Hwy 601 S. from the town of Hampton for 5 mi., then turn rt onto Lake Warren Rd at the highway sign for Lake Warren State Park. Travel one more mile to arrive at the park's gate on the left side of the road.
