Firewood Alert: Because of the seriousness of a potential infestation from the Emerald Ash Borer, we are requesting that no firewood be brought into South Carolina State Parks from outside of the state.

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a destructive invasive exotic beetle that feeds on ash trees. Park campgrounds and picnic areas are the most likely areas for EAB introduction into South Carolina. We appreciate your help in protecting the natural resources of South Carolina and our State Park System.

Description

Outdoor water recreation and wildlife observation are popular activities at this 395-acre park, which sits on a peninsula extending into Hartwell Lake. Sadlers Creek features a lakeside campground, fishing, picnicking, hiking, a meeting facility and boat access for those who wish to explore the 56,000 acres of Hartwell Lake.

Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. No one under the age of 18 may register or reserve a campsite. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Campers arriving after operational hours should make gate arrangements with park office. Please contact the park to reserve ADA (Disabled Access) Standard and Full Service sites.

Sadlers Creek is located twelve miles southwest of Anderson off SC Hwy 187 and 14 miles from Interstate 85 (exit 14). Driving Directions:
  • Turn right at AC-187 7.0 miles
  • Turn right at Sadlers Creek Rd 1.5 miles
  • Follow signs to park office.
