Firewood Alert: Because of the seriousness of a potential infestation from the Emerald Ash Borer, we are requesting that no firewood be brought into South Carolina State Parks from outside of the state.

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a destructive invasive exotic beetle that feeds on ash trees. Park campgrounds and picnic areas are the most likely areas for EAB introduction into South Carolina. We appreciate your help in protecting the natural resources of South Carolina and our State Park System.

Santee State Park is located on the shores of Lake Marion in the heart of the Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all cabins and the Village Round Community Building. Palmetto State's legendary Santee-Cooper Country. The 2,500-acre park has over 158 campsites and 30 Cabins on the shoreline. The park also has two boat ramps that will allow fishermen and boaters to enjoy the lake. Other attractions include: picnic shelters, meeting facility, fishing pier, and park store.

Alerts and Important Information
Pets are not allowed in the cabins or cabin areas. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than 6 feet. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Make arrangements in advance for entering or exiting the park after hours. Please contact the park to reserve ADA (Disabled Access) Standard and Full Service sites.

Santee State Park is located off SC Hwy 6, three miles northwest of Santee and Interstate-95. Driving Directions: From I-95: take exit 98 to Hwy 6 toward Elloree, the park is located 1 mi. W. of the town of Santee. From Columbia: Take I-26 to Hwy 6, exit 136, travel through St. Matthews, continue on Hwy 6 for approximately 15 mile to Elloree and follow signs
